Terms of Use
Last updated: June 5, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
These terms apply to the Michetti Ventures website, customer accounts, gallery listings, preorder requests, artisan offerings, market pickup information, and related services.
By using this website, creating an account, submitting a preorder request, contacting us about a product, or otherwise interacting with Michetti Ventures through this site, you agree to these terms.
Customer Accounts
Certain features, including preorder requests, may require a customer account. You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your login information secure, and contacting us if your account information needs to be updated.
We may restrict, archive, or disable accounts if needed for security, misuse, fraud prevention, repeated policy violations, or operational reasons.
Use of This Website
You agree to use this website respectfully, lawfully, and responsibly. You must not provide false information, create fraudulent accounts, attempt unauthorized access, abuse preorder systems, interfere with website operation, or harass Michetti Ventures staff, artisans, vendors, collaborators, or customers.
Products, Availability, and Pricing
Products, artisan offerings, ingredients, materials, quantities, pickup dates, market attendance, delivery options, prices, descriptions, photographs, and availability may change at any time.
Many items are handmade, small batch, seasonal, or limited quantity. Michetti Ventures cannot guarantee ongoing availability of any specific product.
We may correct pricing, listing, description, photo, or availability errors and may cancel or adjust affected preorder requests where reasonably necessary.
Artisan and Handmade Products
Products promoted or fulfilled through Michetti Ventures may include items from affiliated artisans, guest vendors, seasonal makers, collaborative creators, or other participating vendors.
Because handmade and small-batch items may vary, photographs are representative examples. Colour, shape, size, materials, texture, finish, decorative details, and final appearance may differ slightly. Normal handmade variation does not automatically mean an item is defective.
Preorders and Order Requests
A submitted preorder is a request, not an automatically accepted or guaranteed order. Requests depend on product availability, ingredient or material availability, production capacity, artisan participation, market attendance, weather, travel, scheduling, and other operational limits.
We may accept, decline, limit, modify, substitute, or cancel preorder requests where fulfillment is not reasonably possible. We may contact customers to confirm timing, pickup details, substitutions, or availability.
Pickup, Delivery, and Future Shipping
Pickup locations, market schedules, limited delivery availability, and any future shipping services may vary. Delivery, where offered, is a limited courtesy service and may be affected by weather, road conditions, travel limits, market schedules, staffing, vehicle availability, safety concerns, or business needs.
We may adjust pickup timing, modify pickup locations, delay delivery, cancel delivery availability, or switch a delivery request to pickup where necessary.
Home-Prepared Baked Goods
At this time, Michetti Ventures baked goods may be prepared in a home kitchen for farmers markets and local pickup under Alberta's low-risk home-prepared food rules. This kitchen is not routinely inspected as a commercial food establishment.
Home-prepared food items should be reviewed carefully before purchase. Customers are encouraged to ask questions before ordering or eating any food item.
Ingredients and Allergens
Customers are responsible for reviewing listed ingredients and contacting us before purchasing if they have allergies, sensitivities, dietary restrictions, or ingredient questions.
Our kitchen handles common allergens, including wheat/gluten, milk, butter and other dairy, eggs, nuts, coconut, canola or vegetable oils, soy or shortening, and other recipe ingredients. Although we clean and take care between batches, trace amounts or cross-contact may occur.
Payments
When online payment is requested, payment may be handled by Square or another trusted third-party payment processor. We do not process or store card details on this website.
Customers are responsible for reviewing payment details and ensuring payment authorization. Payment processors maintain their own terms, privacy practices, and security standards.
Right to Refuse Service
We may refuse service, refuse or cancel orders or preorder requests, restrict products, limit quantities, or restrict account access where reasonably necessary. This may include fraud concerns, abuse, harassment, threatening conduct, false information, repeated policy violations, safety concerns, operational limits, or inappropriate conduct toward staff, artisans, vendors, collaborators, or customers.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Michetti Ventures branding, logos, images, product descriptions, website content, text, graphics, photographs, layouts, and design elements are owned by or licensed to Michetti Ventures. They may not be copied, reproduced, redistributed, modified, republished, or used commercially without prior written permission.
Products, artwork, and designs belonging to participating artisans remain the property of their respective creators where applicable.
Website Availability
We make reasonable efforts to maintain the website, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The site may experience downtime, technical issues, maintenance, listing errors, payment interruptions, login issues, or other limitations.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Michetti Ventures is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses related to product unavailability, market cancellations, delivery interruptions, weather delays, travel issues, artisan availability, website issues, listing mistakes, pricing errors, or delays outside our reasonable control.
Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations, or inability to fulfill products or services caused by events outside reasonable control, including severe weather, road conditions, illness, family emergencies, market cancellations, power outages, supply shortages, equipment failure, wildfire smoke, emergencies, government restrictions, or transportation issues.
Policy Updates
We may update these terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this website with a revised date. Continued use of the website or services after updates are posted means you accept the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and applicable Canadian laws.
